A number of schools in our region will soon be receiving a letter from a government minister, congratulating them on their exam results.
Schools Minister David Laws has written to several schools in North Yorkshire and some in the East Riding of Yorkshire - including St Joseph’s RC in Harrogate, Rufforth CE in York and Rawcliffe in East Yorkshire. These schools all received 100 percent in 4+, the required standard in English and maths; the English progress measure; and the maths progress measure.
Swinemoor Primary School in Beverley will also receive a letter for being one of just 100 schools which have seen the most improvement since 2009.
